The Cameo Journal

The size of The Cameo Journal was carefully chosen to be big enough to write a meaningful message but small enough to be super travel-friendly and super quick & easy for the authors. The 3.5” X 5.5” size is perfect for this application. If there are any authors that would like to write more, they are welcome to take two pages, but one will be enough for every standard entry.

It’s sort-of like a mature version of a yearbook; you ask other people to write in yours. However, with The Cameo Journal, you as the owner can write in a few prompts to guide the entries. Maybe they are deep questions. Maybe they are humorous. Maybe they are just ice-breakers; the theme of the journal is entirely up to you. After you have collected a few entries, you will realize the value that this mini journal now has, and it will become one of your most cherished keepsakes. The Cameo Journal helps you connect with other people through collaboration. People like to work together and create something special, and that is exactly what this journal is. As well as the benefits that you get while using the journal, you will also be rewarded with an invaluable keepsake filled with handwritten notes from other people.

With a product as customizable as this, it is hard to say when YOU will use it, but I can give you a few examples. One popular use is as a traveler’s notebook, collecting entries from the people you meet along the way. Another is as a friends book, where you collect entries from your friends over the course of a long time and create a time capsule filled with all of your handwritten messages. You could also use it as a birthday gift, where you collect birthday wishes and messages from the family and friends of the birthday person and gift it to them as a finished project. Some people choose to send it around in the mail which is really easy to do because of the compact size, light weight, and sturdy build quality. However, this is not necessary. You can simply hand it to your family and friends in person to get them to fill out a page. It takes less than 3 minutes and is a ton of fun to share.

As of right now, there is only one color option because this business is just getting started. I would love to introduce new colors once this business is able to support that diversification. Drop a message on social media or the 'Contact' page with the color you'd love to have.

Your family, your friends, coworkers, students, mentors, your barber, strangers, and even yourself. You can even get celebrities to write in it (if you can get it in their hands). Anyone whose voice you value is a potential author of one (or more) of the pages in your Cameo Journal.

There are 100 authorable pages, 2 pages for the prompts, 7 pages for the index, and 1 page for the introductory message. There is a total of 116 pages including blanks.

You don’t need to know 100 people, not even 5 people. This journal can be used with just two people passing it back and forth. Other ways to use it with less people: Family dinner [have 1 member of your family fill out a page each time you have dinner together], Book club [Have each member of your club write a short review of the book each time you finish one], Friend’s vacation [Have each friend write their favorite memory from the trip]. There are so many ways to use this, your imagination is the key to unlock new uses.or the introductory message.

With regular pens there will not be significant bleeding. The paper weight is 80gsm, slightly heavier than the standard 70gsm that Moleskine (a leading journal manufacturer) uses.

The Cameo Journal is a customizable product. Prompts are not written in the journal because I believe that only you know the best prompts for you. There are a bunch of example prompts on the packaging and on the ‘How it Works’ page to help you brainstorm, but I think it is really important that you choose your own prompts.

The Cameo Journal can be used however you would like to use it. The intention of the book is to be used with any more than 1 person because the collaboration is what makes this journal so special. However, some customers have used The Cameo Journal by themselves. Some review the books that they read or movies they watch and then index the entries under the ‘Authors’ section.

The Cameo Journal is specifically designed for collecting entries from multiple different people. Each page has a place for the author to write their name and the date/location. There is also an index in the front of the journal to allow the owner of the journal to quickly see who has contributed to the journal & find each entry quickly. On top of all of that there is also a couple of pages behind the index where prompts can be written to guide or restrict the entries to specific content.

No. It is only recommended that you write a few prompts in the ‘PROMPTS’ section and then the entries will have a common theme. Once you write these prompts, your only job is to collect entries from others.
